The local coffee shop by my house (Grinders Coffee) just announced they are starting a special for all foursquare users and they are still trying to think of something nice for the mayor (aka me lol). The current special for all foursquare users is $1 off every fifth check in. Hopefully all workers will know about it the specials. lol

Thanks for all the comments ladies! As an update, I did go to Starbucks yesterday per my normal morning routine and I checked in on Foursquare. My status was still “Mayor” and it informed me that I earned the $1 off “however-you-want-it Frappucino” but when I told the barista that I was mayor she looked at me like I had 7 heads and asked me what I was the mayor of. LOL, I told her that I was mayor of her Starbucks store and I got the look again. I then showed her the phone and the coupon for the $1 off, she read it and gave me the $1 off but still didn’t understand. Definitely don’t frequent any Starbucks to be mayor, but I do like Foursquare. I think if more places offered such benefits to FS mayors, more people would see the “point” in checking in and frequenting those places.

One more idea I got from a blogher friend, was to make a car magnet. Old school, I know, but think about all the places we drive each week. Free advertising for your site.

Plus Google is giving away $100 promot AdSense ads. Seems they are sending them to people who are registered to run ads on their blog (Guess, we all probably got them!) Anyway, go ahead and use up your free $100!
