Sadness in the Blogosphere

Posted by: cincinnatiwomenbloggers In: Uncategorized

A special message from local bloggers, Shannan (Mommy Bits) and Amy (Amy in Ohio)

Today sadness hangs over the blogosphere.  Our dear friend Heather, of The Spohrs are Multiplying, known to many as @mamaspohr on Twitter, faced the unspeakable yesterday.  She said goodbye to her baby girl.

Our thoughts and our prayers go out to Heather and Mike as they battle through the lose of sweet baby Maddie. The Spohrs are a special part of this greater community. They have touched many lives with their writing, their humor and especially the precious moments with Maddie they shared with us. No one could resist that adorably, wonderful face we were lucky enough to see in each post or picture.

You can find more information and ways to help here: http://www.marchforbabies.org/personal_page.asp?w=131032674&u=marchformaddie&bt=2

(Please Note: Those closest to Heather and Mike are working to get their personal blogs back up and running as soon as possible and we’ll update this when that information becomes available.)

To show our support, all the way here in Cincinnati, a group of bloggers are getting together to walk in Maddie’s honor in the Cincinnati March of Dimes March for Babies Walk on April 26th. We would like to invite all of you to join us, along with your families and friends and help make a mark in Maddie’s name.

You can email myself – shannanb(at)gmail.com  or Amy – amyinohio(at)gmail.com for more information.   You can join our team – Maddie’s Mob, here: http://www.marchforbabies.org/teams/698355
