NKY Forum Event Addresses Media and the Presidential Election

CWB member Laura Deaton Morarity will present at the Northern Kentucky Forum’s first event of 2009: Should You Trust the Messenger? Method, Meaning and Media in the 2008 Campaign.
The Forum takes place at 6:30 p.m. this Thursday, January 29 at the Boone County Public Library Main location at 1786 Burlington Pike in Burlington. The Forum’s free gatherings, which are open to everyone, are designed to engage and inform the audience and promote dialogue.
The moderator and panel members represent different aspects of the media as well as those who work closely with media during political campaigns. John Lomax, co-anchor of Channel 12′s “Good Morning Cincinnati,” will moderate the discussion.
Panelists include Suzanne Cassidy, partner, O’Hara, Ruberg, Taylor, Sloan & Sergent; Pat Crowley, political writer, Kentucky Enquirer; Jimmie Manning, PhD, Communication Graduate Program Director and Assistant Professor, Communication, College of Informatics at Northern Kentucky University; Laura Deaton Morarity, account supervisor, Wordsworth Communications; and Rick Robinson, partner, Graydon Head & Ritchey LLP.
The Northern Kentucky Forum is a joint initiative of three nonpartisan civic organizations: the Northern Kentucky young leaders group, LEGACY; the regional planning group, Vision 2015; and NKU’s Scripps Howard Center for Civic Engagement.
